Adrienne Elisha received her Masters degree in composition in 1985 from Indiana University, where she studied with Bernhard Heiden, John Eaton, Donald Erb, and Juan Orrego-Salas. She was selected to participate in a five-week composition seminar with Leonard Bernstein, Artist in Residence at Indiana University in 1983. Ms. Elisha is also a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she earned a Professional Studies Performance Diploma in Viola, and was an assistant to Heidi Castleman. She has taught at Kenyon College and the College of Wooster and is currently on the faculty of the Cleveland Music School Settlement. She is a member of the Cleveland Chamber Symphony and of Apollo's Fire. Ms. Elisha frequently performs as a solo recitalist in the US and abroad, championing not only her own works but also new works of other composers. She was featured on Polish National Radio in a recital of contemporary works for solo viola during the Warsaw Autumn Festival in September 1996, and again featured on Polish Radio as a composer in July 1997.
