Jennifer Conner received her DMA in musical composition from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Donald Erb. A native of California, she earned undergraduate degrees in music and fine arts from the University of California, Irvine. She has pursued summer music studies with New York composer George Tsontakis, and has participated in the Aspen Center for Advanced Contrapuntal Studies under Bernard Rands. She is presently on the faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Music. Dr. Conner's recent works include Winter Hours Yesteryear, premiered in 1993 by the Cleveland Orchestra, and recently performed by the Grand Rapids Symphony; and Credo, for choir and ensemble, commissioned by the Church of the Covenant (Cleveland OH) to celebrate their anniversary in the fall of 1995.
