John Rinehart

Bio as printed in program notes from a Guild concert on April 2, 1963

"John Rinehart was born in Pittsburgh.  A graduate of Kent State University, he has since 1960 been on the piano faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Music.  He has studied composition with Harold Miles, Marcel Dick, and Quincy Porter, piano with Ward Davenny and Arthur Loesser.  In 1960 he won the first Ernest Bloch Award in Composition from the Institute."
