Marcia Kraus

Marcia Kraus, a native of Portland Oregon, studied cello with Lynn Harrell, was a participant in the Pablo Casals Masterclasses in Berkeley California, and studied composition with Carl Beecher at the Portland School of Music, and creative writing with poet William Stafford at Lewis and Clark College. She has played in the Oregon Symphony and the Washington D.C. Opera Orchestra. Her Concerto for English Horn has been performed on the regular series of the Cleveland Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony and has recently been issued as a CD on the Arundax label.
