Instructional Resource:  Inserting, editing, and manipulating computer graphics

 

The purpose of this assignment is to use computer graphics to create documents commonly used in instruction.

 

1.      Use PowerPoint to create a plan for a classroom poster.

    1. Create a folder on your disk, or desktop and name it:  PowerPoint Poster 
    2. Save all of your poster files in this folder using the filename:  yourlastnamePoster, substituting your last name for yourlastname. This is to help you keep organized and find files.
    3. The poster must contain the following objects:

                                                              i.      4 different shapes (for example, an oval, square, diamond, and star, but you can choose any shape your would like.)

a.)     Format the shapes with the following:

¬   Shape 1:  Fill with a pattern

¬   Shape 2:  Fill with a color

¬   Shape 3:  Change the border to thicker

¬   Shape 4:  Choose a 3-D shape

                                                            ii.      2 lines

a.)  Line 1:  Dashed line

b.)  Line 2:  Arrow

                                                          iii.      Clip Art

a.)           Insert one or more illustrations from the ClipArt Gallery

                                                          iv.      Text box

a.)           Use text boxes to insert text in your poster.  The poster must include a minimum of 2 text boxes. 

b.)           One text box needs to include your name and email address. 

 

  1. Submit the PowerPoint document to WebCT drop box. 
    1. Your file name must be named:  yourlastnamePoster
