Power Point Assignment

 

Students completing the IR course requirements are expected to be competent and skilled with a range of technologies and able to integrate those technologies into their instructional practice appropriately and effectively.

 

The expectation for this Power Point assignment is that you individually and collectively will create a Power Point presentation that enhances your lesson plan developed for the Instructional Design course.

 

Exceeding the minimum requirements is allowed. Since this is a group project, all members of the group will receive the same score out of 25 possible points

 

Criteria for the Power Point presentation

 

Create a folder on the USB key and name it with your “TEAM” name or topic and the word “Presentation.”  For example, if your team name or topic were “Food Pyramid,” the folder would be named:  Food Pyramid Presentation

 

The presentation is required to have the following: 

1.       Minimum of 10 slides, including a title slide and bibliography slide

2.       Use slide master with watermark background image

3.      Footer on each slide with the date on the left, your names centered in the middle, and slide number on the right. 

4.      A minimum of five of the 10 slides must contain clipart, a graph, or a picture.  The graphics must be appropriate for the lesson and topic of the slide.

5.      Custom animation within 3 slides

6.       Sound inserted on 2 slides

7.      Transitions between all slides

8.      Follow visual literacy guidelines for fonts, font size, color, amount of text, graphics, and layout.

 

What to hand in:

1.       The Power Point Lesson.

2.       A printout of the presentation in PowerPoint as a Handout with 6 slides per sheet.

3.       A word document that briefly describes how you plan to integrate the Power Point presentation into your ID lesson plan and microteaching activity.
