Dan Berlyoung is an adjunct faculty member at the University
of Akron teaching Advanced
Multimedia, and several HTML workshops during the summer sessions.
He is a full time multimedia developer with ten years of technical support experience and ten years of
multimedia development and interface design.

Mike
Collura is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Akron.
In addition he is the Coordinator of Instructional Technology at
The Ohio State University at Mansfield. His primary role at OSU-M
is to assist faculty with technology integration and web
development to support teaching and learning. He received his
B.A. in Psychology and M.A.Ed. in Educational Administration
from the University of Akron and is completing his Ph.D. (ABD)
in Educational Technology from Purdue University.

Dr. John Hirschbuhl

John Hirschbuhl has been with the University of Akron for
the last 33 years. He received his BS from Temple University,
his MS from Temple University also, and received his Ph.D.
from the Pennsylvania State University in computer science
and instructional technology. He works for the U of A as a
professor and director of learning technology which includes
design and development, computer based assessment and evaluation,
distributed learning and software training. He has published
150 articles and 11 editions of Computers in Education: Mc
Graw Hill. He presents at many different conferences in his
specialized area of study in Instructional Technology.

Melissa
spent ten years in elementary education serving as a classroom
teacher and the technology resource teacher for a K-4 public
school. She is currently the Educational Technology
Coordinator for Carson-Dellosa Publishing Co. Melissa has
been a part-time instructor in the IT program since 1998. |

Dr.
Jodi Kearns
Jodi
Kearns has a B.A. in Religious Studies from University of
Waterloo, Ontario; a B.Ed. from University of Windsor, Ontario;
and a MLS in school-library media. Her post-Masters certificate in
Digital Imaging, and her PhD in Interdisciplinary Information
Science are from the University of North Texas. Her research
interests include entropy and information theory of media for
specific, idiosyncratic users; idiosyncratic information
behaviors, digital imaging technologies, indexing, and
representation; and instructional technologies. She is co-author
of the recently release academic text: Hunting and Gathering on
the Information Savannah. |

Lysiak

Planning for Technology
Ted
is currently the Director of Instructional Technology and
Educational Video in the Euclid City School District where he is
responsible for the planning and implementation of instructional
technology initiatives in Euclid. His experiences include the
use of handheld technology in K-12 environments, multimedia in
education, digital video and photography, and online learning
environments. Ted is a graduate of the Instructional Technology
program.

Peg McCann

Peggy McCann is currently a curriculum designer and works
in the learning technologies and scholar learner services
for the University of Akron. She is also a part time faculty
member for the College of Education. She received her BSTE,
MSTE, and Ph.D. from U of A. She specializes in adult learning
theory and instructional technology. She has published five
different articles in the past few years and has a couple
of different publications that she is currently working on.
She has been working at the U of A since 1997.

John Savery is an assistant professor in the department of Educational Foundations

Patrick
Tabatcher

Patrick Tabatcher is the Senior Multimedia Producer for the University
of Akron and works in Design & Development
Services, a department within the VPCIO division. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the U of A.
His primary function
is to assist faculty who are using WebCT or otherwise incorporating multimedia
into their teaching. His duties range from creating graphics and interfaces to the creation of interactive training modules, animations and CD-ROM
development. He specializes in interface
design and usability and accessibility issues in multimedia, specifically
in web design.

Sajit Zachariah
Sajit Zachariah is an Assistant Dean in the College of Education at The University of Akron. He teaches graduate courses in Planning for Technology, Technology for Administrators and Hypermedia.
His research interests include the use of handheld technology in K-16
