Welcome

Hello and welcome to the Lambda Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Akron!

I cannot tell you how proud I am to be the president of an organization made up of such amazing women.  Internationally, members of Kappa Kappa Gamma are known for their leadership on and off campus, their consistently high scholarship achievements, and their commitment to service.   The Lambda Kappas are certainly no exception!

The women of Lambda Chapter are a diverse group of women.  My sisters are involved in more than 40 activities and organizations on and off campus.  We maintain a 3.29 average GPA.  Besides our leadership activities and classes, we love to have fun! Sisterhoods, socials, football games and intramurals are just a few of the activities that my sisters and I enjoy in our spare time. Come to our lodge and you will find us making scrap books, practicing our song and dance for Songfest, going over basketball plays for the next intramural game and bonding over popcorn and old-school movies. 

I could go on and on about how wonderful all of my sisters are and how each day; I am captivated by their incredible accomplishments.  But for me, the most amazing thing about Kappa is the friendships I have with my sisters. These friendships are those that will outlast our college-hood days. The women that I call my sisters are they type of women that will be there for you no matter what, making you laugh until you cry, giving you advice when you need it the most and changing your life forever. Kappa has become more than just a sorority to me - these girls have become my family.
