Quarterly Report

The Program Committee for the 2009 Annual Conference is in place and has begun to meet and to collaborate online using a wiki. In consultation with the Interest Group Chairs, we have also selected a conference theme for 2009 and are now working on tracks for that conference. We have also met with the 2008 committee to review the conference evaluations and had a “wrap-up” session.

The Program Committee is currently working to finalize committee member roles, make a decision regarding the conference format (one day or two, etc.), and prioritize a list of keynote speakers so we can begin contacting them. We have a draft version of the 2009 Conference Web Page residing on a non-ALAO server and hope to have it transferred to the ALAO server shortly.

We currently look forward to making a call for proposals in early 2009.
