• We are currently accepting applications for the 2009 Diversity Scholarship. We have promoted the scholarship through the ALAO Listserv and various other Listservs. The scholarship deadline is Friday 13 March 2009.
• Final plans are being made for a spring diversity workshop. Beth Tucker, Coordinator of Programming at Purdue University’s Office of International Students and Scholars. We are hoping to hold the workshop on Friday 1 May at Kent State University.
• The diversity committee lost one member. Angela Gooden of University of Cincinnati left her position and moved with her family to Texas. We have had inquiries from librarians interested in joining the committee. The Committee chair will pursue filling the remainder of Angela’s term on the committee with a new member immediately.
