Liaison to Ohio ACRL

As the ALAO liaison to ACRL, I regularly attend Chapters Council meetings held during ALA Annual and ALA Midwinter. This past year I attended Chapters Council meeting at ALA in Anaheim. I did not attend ALA Midwinter in Denver. When I do not attend the meeting in person, as in this case Midwinter in Denver, I mine the minutes when they are available, forwarding important information to the ALAO Board list.

I also forward communications, principally event announcements, from ACRL to the Board list and to the ALAO full membership list as appropriate.

On behalf of ALAO, I write the “Ohio article” for Chapters Topics which is published twice annually. I depend on the support of ALAO Board members for information and photos, if possible, for the newsletters.    At times, a “reverse” of the above, I send information from ACRL to be included in the ALAO newsletters.

Finally, if the ALAO Board has questions or comments for ACRL, I communicate those as requested and report back to the Board.
