Finding Articles

• Academic Search Complete - Academic Search Complete, designed specifically for academic institutions, is the world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,300 full-text periodicals, including 4,400 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,300 journals and a total of 10,900 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1865, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format.
• Art Full Text - Indexes several hundred international journals plus yearbooks and museum bulletins on art including archaeology, architecture, city planning, crafts, films, graphic arts, industrial design, landscape architecture, museology, and photography. The electronic counterpart to the printed Art Index. 1929- present. Updated monthly.
• Arts & Humanities Citation Index (ISI Web of Science) - Arts & Humanities Citation Index is a multidisciplinary database covering the journal literature of the arts and humanities.
• Bibliography of the History of Art - Index to articles, books, and other materials in art history, covering European and American art from late antiquity to the present.
• Digital Media Center - OhioLINK - Several databases of electronic images or videos; will eventually also include sound, numeric data, and other types of electronic media.
• Humanities Full-Text - Contains full text for over 550 journals of interest in art, philosophy, history, communications, and general interest.
• MLA International Bibliography - Index to books and articles on modern languages, literatures, folklore, and linguistics. Includes or has links to full text.
• Philosopher's Index - The Philosopher's Index provides indexing and abstracts from books and journals of philosophy and related fields. It covers the areas of ethics, aesthetics, social philosophy, political philosophy, epistemology, and metaphysic logic as well as material on the philosophy of law, religion, science, history, education, and language.
