There are no articles in The UA Libraries Catalog or OhioLINK. You must search the following databases to find articles on your topic. Use a 'keyword' search to locate a relevant article, then use the 'subject' field to locate similar items. When you find an article in any database you must check The UA Libraries Catalog for the journal title. If Akron does not have the article you need, you must request the article with ILLiad. I need more help finding articles.

- Education Research Complete is the definitive online resource for education research. This massive file offers the world’s largest and most complete collection of full text education journals. Education Research Complete also covers areas of curriculum instruction as well as administration, policy, funding, and related social issues.

ERIC indexes education-related literature, beginning in 1966. The ERIC database is the world’s largest source of education information, containing abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice. The database covers descriptions and evaluations of programs, research reports and surveys, curriculum and teaching guides, instructional materials, position papers, and resource materials. In 1993, ERIC began indexing education-related books, including the output of major publishers.
MAS Ultra: School Edition (for high school students)
- MAS Ultra: School Edition (for high school students) provides full text from over 515 periodicals covering general reference, health, science, and other areas. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for 581 magazines. Full text is also available for many biographies and primary source documents, pamphlets, reference books (including the Columbia Encyclopedia, the CIA World Fact Book and World Almanac & Book of Facts), and an Image Collection of 91,000 photos, maps & flags.
Mental Measurements Yearbook

Mental Measurements Yearbook, produced by the Buros Institute, contains fulltext information about and reviews of all English-language standardized tests covering educational skills, personality, vocational aptitude, psychology, and related areas as included in the printed Mental Measurements Yearbooks. This database product contains data from Yearbooks 9 through 15.
Middle Search Plus (for middle school students)
- Middle Search Plus (for middle school students) provides full text from over 140 popular middle school magazines. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for over 170 magazines. Full text is also available for biographies, historical essays and student pamphlets. Additionally, Middle Search Plus contains primary source documents including Essential Documents in American History, reference books including the Funk & Wagnall's New Encyclopedia and American Heritage® Dictionary, 4th Edition from Houghton Mifflin, the Encyclopedia of Animals and an Image Collection.
Primary Search (for elementary school students)
- Primary Search (for elementary school students) provides full text from 57 children’s magazines appropriate for elementary schools and children’s reading rooms. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for over 80 magazines. Other full text sources include: The World Almanac of the U.S.A. and The World Almanac for Kids; The Encyclopedia of Animals; Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia; and full text for over 100 pamphlets.

Ohio Department of Education Academic Content Standards
- Includes K-12 standards documents for Arts, English Language Arts, Foreign Language, Library, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Technology. INFOhio - The Information Network for Ohio Schools
- INFOhio's resources are intended for teachers, students, and parents, and they include the Core Collection, a list of freely accessible databases of articles, historical documents, art images, digital video, biographies, online encyclopedias, and much more. A username and password are necessary for acccess from home. Ohio college of education students pursuing a preK-12 teaching degree are eligible.
Ohio Learning Network - Teaching Resources
- The site includes a link to IdeasNow, with further links and descriptions of new technologies (such as games, podcasts) that can be incorporated into teaching and learning.
OH! Teach/INFOhio

Akron-Summit County Public Library
- The ASCPL's collection of children's and young adult literature is excellent and can be searched online through its catalog. Titles held at the main or branch libraries will be identified.
